Most Common Questions

Yes, we do have a showroom! We are located at 307 Central Avenue in the Jersey City Heights section. The showroom is between Griffith and Zabriskie Street, right across from the Dunkin Donuts. This is and has been our only location since 1909.

Walk-ins are always welcomed, but we prefer you make an appointment so that we can schedule a time for you to meet with one of our knowledgeable professionals.

Saturday: 9:00 AM-2:00 PM
Sunday: Closed

Unfortunately, we do not service or perform repairs on any floor that was not originally installed by Hauptman Floor Covering’s team of professional installers. That being said, we are always happy to help in any way that we can! We offer free advice and will answer any questions you have. We can also supply and deliver the materials necessary for the job if you have a contractor or handyman already.

We carry a large line of carpet and flooring manufacturers in our showroom which includes: Shaw Floors, Mannington, COREtec, Appalachian Hardwood, Nourison, Kane Carpet, Stanton, Mohawk, Anderson Tuftex, Homerwood, Lauzon, Fabrica, Masland, Tarkett, Karndean, Forbo Marmoleum and more. Not only do we have a large selection of different manufacturer’s products on display in our showroom, but we can supply and install materials from many more. If you are looking for a particular brand or something that you do not see in our showroom, just ask your salesperson and we will see if we can locate or procure a sample for you.

Hauptman’s also carries window treatments from Graber, Hunter Douglas, Bandalux, Alta Window Fashions and more. We have sample blinds and shades on display in our showroom, as well as sample books with a plethora of styles and colors for all types of window treatments.

Yes. We have some in-store stock of sheet vinyl, LVP, carpet, etc. available for you to take home immediately. We also have a large selection of carpets, hardwood, porcelain tile, laminate flooring and vinyl (sheet, plank and tile) stocked in local warehouses that we can have available for you within a day or two.

That being said, most of our offerings are special order and depending on what you select, may take a week to several weeks to procure.

No, we do not provide this service.

We accept credit cards, cash, personal checks, cashier's checks, certified checks or bankcards. We are currently accepting Zelle payments to hauptmanfloors@gmail.com. Financing is also available.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards!

Subject to approved credit, Hauptman has a finance program designed to fit your budget. Stop in our store or call our sales staff to learn what helpful finance options are available.

Yes, for a fee we can move your furniture during the installation process, as well as handle the removal and disposal of your old flooring.

Delivery charges will vary depending on the type of material, the amount of the merchandise in your order, and the destination. The cost of your delivery will be estimated when you place your order and finalized upon purchase. Our customer representatives can help answer any other delivery questions you may have.

Yes! In most cases you can pick up your order at our store.

Want us to do the hard part? We install almost everything that we sell and our technicians are some of the best in the business. Stop in the store to browse our selection and to schedule a visit to your home to review your installation options in detail.

We typically only recommend DIY installation if you have prior installation experience. Review your project with one of our sales reps and they will guide you through the installation process, making sure you have the right product for your job, and all of the materials necessary for a successful installation.

Yes! Blinds, shades, shutters and draperies can all be custom fit to your windows. Stop in our showroom and work with one of our professional sales representatives to find the ideal window treatments for your home. We’ll then set up an appointment to visit your home and measure your windows for a perfect fit. We can install them for you or, if you are feeling up to the task, we’ll provide the hardware you need to do it yourself.
